Singer Davido helped rescue some youths from the extortion harassment of police officers In the early hours of Sunday, October 11, 2020.
He was passing by when he discovered police officers wrongfully profiling and manhandling the youths even as they demanded for ridiculous amounts of money from them prompting him to intervene declaring that stop and search operations had been outlawed by the police inspector general.
As soon as he intervened , the policemen freed the youths and Davido asked them to follow his convoy as they left the checkpoint. One of the youths with the handle @mbaise1stborn shared a video from the scene on his Twitter page. He captioned it:
